Now Hiring - Digital Sales Account Executive - Peninsula in Palo Alto, CA

Embarcadero Media - the Bay Area's hyper-local, community-focused media organization, which includes eight news and entertainment websites on the Peninsula and in the East Bay – is experiencing strong digital growth.

We are seeking a highly motivated Digital Sales Account Executive to join our growing team. The ideal person for this position will have some digital sales experience, is a self-starter with a "hunter mentality" who is seeking career growth. We will provide the opportunity to develop skills that will ultimately grow this position into a stronger sales role within the company.

This position will focus on display digital ad sales primarily in our Peninsula coverage areas of Palo Alto, Menlo Park, Atherton, Mountain View and Redwood City, and will report to the division publisher.

Responsibilities:

• Use a consultative sales approach to drive digital revenue generation through sales on Embarcadero Media's websites, email newsletters, branded content, dedicated email blasts and other digital products under development.

• Exceed monthly digital sales targets.
• Develop new business and manage the sales cycle from start to finish.

• Assist in migrating print advertisers to digital advertising.
• Use data to demonstrate ROI to prospective advertisers.

Desired Qualifications & Skills:

• 2+ years of digital advertising experience preferred.
• Solid understanding of digital advertising metrics and analytics.
• Detail-oriented and able to multitask.
• Track record of exceeding sales targets.
• Ability to drive revenue successfully through the development of long-term strategic relationships.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
